GRANT REQUEST GUIDELINES:
The grant request writer must be actively and personally involved in the activity or organization for which the funds are requested.
Members of the Mission and Ministry Committee, a standing committee of the Foundation Board of Directors, may request a site visit, additional information, or an interview with representatives of an organization that has submitted a grant proposal to the Foundation.
If warranted, the Foundation Board of Directors may request information related to grant expenditures at the end of the grant period.
GRANT APPROVAL PROCESS:
Bethany Lutheran Foundation of Fredericksburg, Texas, Inc. awards grants once each year as a result of a formal review process.
Grant Request Forms may be obtained by contacting the Ministry & Mission Committee at blffbgtx@gmail.com.
Completed Grant Request Forms may be submitted on or after August 1, 2023, and no later than September 15, 2023 (for mailed requests, they must be postmarked by this date).

Additional information (listed below) must be submitted separately (by email or U.S. Mail):
Board Authorization - the following statement must be signed and dated by the Board President: "This grant is being submitted with the authorization of the Board of Directors."

IRS Form 990
Governance Information - please provide a list and contact information for your Board of Directors
Grant requests are considered by the Mission and Ministry Committee, a standing committee of the Foundation Board, and evaluated on the basis of projects that advance and support the discipleship of Jesus Christ with a wide beneficiary reach.
The Mission and Ministry Committee recommends selected grant requests to the Foundation Board for approval.
At the November meeting, the Foundation Board of Directors makes the final selection of the grants that will be awarded in that year and notifies all grant applicants of their grant status.
Grant funds will be available for distribution during December 2023.
